Who should you vote for? *not a poll*

In line with the "handy political opinion generator" thread I espied this on the BBC election weblog

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/vote_2005/blog/default.stm

So I presume it can't be against the House Rules to repost it here:

That was MY posting.

I didn't say a word.

I merely drew a thumbs up smiley.

How do I go about finding out why I was moderated?

It was an expression of appreciation and interest.

There's PC and there's ridiculous PC.

IMO this falls into the second catagory

you should have an email in the account which you used to register with h2g2 telling you your post was moderated - email them back and ask for clarification and offer to reword the post if it was borderline.

AS its the weekend you won't get a reply till the office re-opens.

As I understand the site, it is non-partisan and intended to combat apathy (surely a good thing?) So long as people don't start posting what result they get, I don't see how this could be considered either campaigning or polling - adn I'm being mindful to try and avoid both

Why an smiley - ok should be a problem, I'm not sure - I caveated this thread saying I didn't think it broke house rules or encouraged others to do so - if it does then they should just hide the thread. smiley - erm

Cheers Clive,
I'll certainly look forward to getting the email and replying... though how I can possibly re word a smiley - ok is going to be interesting.

I quite agree with the points you made. And I thought it was self evident that your posting was a bit of light hearted fun.

No more political, or to be taken seriously, than one of those "Personality Type" quizzes you get in women's magazines, really.

It'll be interesting to see if this thread IS hidden. Though why this one should - especially as its so innocuous - is a bit of a puzzler.

Have a good weekend, oh Relaxed one.

(I was offered a job yesterday so I'm looking for properties to let near Salisbury - not relaxed exactly but I'm still on a high after passing the interview! smiley - biggrin)

For me, the generator is coming out for the Green party (which is rather handy as I live in the *only* constituency in the UK that has a chance of electing a Green MP smiley - winkeye) with a side order of UKIP and the Liberals.

The one party that it is telling me *not* to vote for, and doing so in large quantities, is the Labour party - and that's just fine with me smiley - ok

smiley - laugh I only said that to be sure we steered clear of any complaints about polling or campaigning. Seeing as GD's post hasn't been yikesed perhaps I was erring on the side of caution.

I couldn't possibly say who it pegged me to pick on May 5th...

Well I came out with Lib Dem 76, Green 60, Labour 37, UKIP -20 and Tory -70.

No great surprise, I might even vote Libs as a tictical vote as my seat is rock solid tory and the only vague chance of unseating him is the Lib Dem candidate.

I still rather feel about the Libs that they can say whatever they like as they are not going to win, so it is not surprising they come good for me.
