I am a bit worried that once there is a president elected, everyone will start calling them Prez for short. people are doing it already as I speak. What will happen to my nickname, which is also prez?
Once the Jedi Knight YK called himself president of Blainesfreet, and I was schocked for about a week.

I guess you'll just have to deal with it in context. If, for example, the name 'Prez' comes up in a discussion about head snot, I'm sure the h2g2 Prez will be happy to defer to you.

Don't worry about that President of HeadSnot Inc.

If I win the elections I promise I won't get in your way or use an short cut like Prez., Pres., Prezz, or whatever.

Hmmm! You have a very valid point there PrezHS!! Maybe the new Virtual Presidant of h2g2 had better defer to you as the senior Prez and style himself/herself as Prezh2g2 all the time! If I can manage to type in *PRME* all the time, it should be no big deal for the new Prezh2g2 at all! It doesn't even involve more then one cap after all!

I think that you have absolute claim to the title of Prez, Prez! I, for one - or rather 4 or 5 at this point - would never dream of taking it away. Much like DD, if Marv and I are elected our doors will always be open. We won't change at all - except, of course, for the fact that we will have the power of life and de...I mean, the power to throw really killer parties of course! I'm sorry, where was I?
