I bought one of these drums... about a week ago, so tried to find out a bit about it... Which has turned out thus far to only be a very little bit. I'm hoping I can as an aviator add some audio clips of this to the entry once its fit to go into PR. There are a plethra of spelin errors in it still at the moment which I'm hoping to address soon, but just running out of ideas as to what else to add into the article? I've put a few links in but wasn't sure about some of the more ... odd tenative links to entrys so didn't add in perhaps all I might of... would it be worth having an intro talking about some of the history and such like of Samba music?; I notice we don't have a edited entry on Samba already

This is a little gem at the moment I'll be back.

I re-read it myself (which is often awkward re-reading stuff you've written, as you don't necessarily read what is* there but rahter what you think* is there).... A few bits jump out as a bit clunky though I'll have a go at re-wording some of the bits and also it'd be nice if I could find a few more songs to put in as examples that have it in 'mainstream' pop/music I was very* supprised we don't alreayd have an edite dentry on Bob Marley (not a big fan of his for various reasons, but I could have put a link in to him in that section where the songs are listed) I'm still thinking about doing an overview/intro bit on Samba but worry that it might actually be more suited for a seperate entry and quickly get too big for an intro to antoehr article I ought get the mic out soon and have a go at recordding the cuica so I've the AV hopefully to be linked to in the article ...

I was not round earlier. I think this is a lovely Entry but there are a few mistakes that need clearing up first.

The songs should have single quotation marks round them. Unless they are albums in which case Italicise them.

When footnoting start the Footnote immediately after the last letter like thisdyk.

Be careful of American spelling 'recognizable' is 'recognisable'. There are a few other minor spelling errors too:

Matterials is materials

useually is usually

comfetably is comfortably

origionated is originated

mimik is mimic

femal is female

Once these are sorted I think it's ready for Peer Review. My only worry is how short it is though.

I could lengthen it a fair bit if put a section in on a kind of introduction to Samba music/its history etc... But that'd be a bit gettinga way from the essence of the entry, though of course quite relivent.... I'll try correct all the speling and typin errors today

If it's relevant and you can make it flow I would go with it. Mind you I'm a dance enthusiast so biased. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Ahhh... a dancer Samba is I guess a bit like flaminco in that respect; both forms of music have musitions who think* its all about the music, and simular both seem to have dancing and dancers who think* its all about the dancing and the music is just secondary as someone with at least two left feet at the last count I have to make odo with the music instead Sorry didn't get a chance to do any more this afternoon; I ended up sleeping most the aternoon will attempt eitehr later on this evening or tomorrow to tidy up the spelling and then try put in maybe a couple paragraphs about the samba thing...

it will come together in time. Rushing it would not be a good thing. I'm looking forward to the carnival this weekend there will be samba and lots of other things.

I think its not far off now... I added in a bit about the history of Samba but didn't want to put too* much in as that could probalby jsut about be another entry in itself; but it needed somethign else in this to 'bulk' it out I guess I'll try have a look at it again in teh next couple days.. probalby the weekend now I guess

I think your right about samba being able to be a whole article if I had more knolge about samba and less other stuff on my h2g2 plate I would write one my self.

Well freel free to write it when you think you've more time, what is in the article pretty much exausts my knowledge on the subject I've went through today ealrier and put in some more links to other articles

The main problem is attucaly the knolge I think I've got the two other things I've been working on almost done.
