I could see why it remains neutral! The Cafe's support, however, was freely offered by Irv. We saw no reason to say no to corporate support.

If Irv is going to force the cafe to take a political position in favour of candidate A when his caretaker is backing candidate B and two of his regulars plus one of his other staff members are themselves opposing candidates, then his caretaker will regretfully be obliged to resign. I had hoped, as DD says, that the chiefest gathering places on site would remain neutral.
No offense. But perhaps Irv doesn't realise that I am not working for the campaign of the esteemed Marv and Gw7en. Somebody let me know real soon, because I should be starting a new thread at the cafe in a couple of hours. It would be a shame if I had to do so with a political statement!

Wise words Lil. We can set up hustings thread at the popular locations nearer the election time, until then too many of us are in the same places. I mean how many of the candiadtes for example are members of the CotTB.

There seems to be some sort of fad on.
Gw7en, I have discussed it with Irv, and the image that seems to stick in everyone's mind, quite agreeably, is of Irv as Rick in Casablanca, running a neutral cafe in the midst of a war. Of course, we're not having a war, are we.
