I'm a professional security practitioner, so I hope that I know how to choose a good password.
I heartifly recommend the suggestions made by two other researches to use song lyrics or similar. For example, IBAHDN (Beatles). Substituting numbers for letters is good too (and numbers might be demanded by some password rules): so, 1BAHDN.
However, do not use any dictionary word even if you substitute numbers for letters (1 for I, 3 for E, 0 for O are easily guessable).
When possible do use as long a passphrase as you can. If passwords are case-sensitive, as they are on h2g2, make it harder to crack by switching case... according to a scheme that you can easily remember!

Just coined a new word there: "heartifly". I meant "heartily", of course, but I wonder what "heartifly" might mean...
Back on topic.
I wanted to add a URL that goes much deeper into this topic (without mentioning song lyrics!): [Broken link removed by Moderator]
Enjoy!
