A Conversation for Talking Point: Your Worst Job

Nasty Boss

Post 1

Leo

How about a boss who didn't respect his workers?
I know it's normal for a small business owner to mix work and home a drop, but we were doing things like printing labels for his wife's potato salad.
He also did a lot of cheating on taxes which gave me some cognitive dissonance on the moral side, and he was a racist, bigoted, sexist... can't think of a word that's strong enough and that I'd use. I nearly punched him the day I said I spoke to a reporter at the newspaper, mentioned her (female) name, and he criticized me for speaking to the secretary and not the reporter (who must be male because females are just underling paper pushers).

...and he used to spit on my phone when he used it.

I, too, work for a boss from Hell. I also have a troublemaking workmate.
