I've definitely started to struggle with this project now - I've done all of the sections of line which I know well enough to write about without too much help (43% of the whole network, in fact), and now I really need some help with the rest of it.

Information, please, on any of the stations of the Bakerloo Line.

Thanks,
Alex smiley - smiley

Great work, as usual! smiley - smiley

A couple of things that occurred to me:

- Regent's Park station is closed until further notice for lift replacement and general refurbishment.

- You could mention that charging is, for some reason, different for journeys between Kenton and Harrow & Wealdstone. The map of the Bakerloo line (http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/bakerloo.pdf) states that you have to pay a National Rail fare rather than a London Transport fare. I don't know if this means that Oyster cards, travel cards etc aren't valid on this section of the line..?

- Link to Sherlock Holmes A2773415

Can't help with any of the stations, I'm afraid - the only bit of the Bakerloo line I know is Paddington to Regent's Park, and I think we've got that covered.

I'll have a look through some of my books for info. I did have a look through one a while ago, but there wasn't much there. As you're in the middle of exams I'll assume there's no rush!

Warwick Avenue is the nearest station to the canals at Little Venice, and is surrounded by pleasant leafy streets. It's been refurbished in the last few years - but unusually, in a sympathetic manner restoring the original tilework and so on. On a quiet day you could be in a time warp if it wasn't for the posters - it's a pretty good example of an Underground station of this particular vintage.

Maida Vale station is just up the road from the BBC's legendary studios where the Peel Sessions were recorded - there's a link here if you want to add a bit of colour:

Kensal Green was a hazard card in The London Game - I can't remember the exact wording of the first part of the sentence, but it was along the lines of: "You have an overwhelming desire for solitude. Go to Kensal Green and stay there for three turns."

There's also an extremely large cemetery there, from what I remember.

And Willesden Junction, of course, has an interchange with the North and West London lines at the high-level platforms. There's also a terminating platform in the low-level section, if my memory isn't deceiving me, for Bakerloo line trains. Although that memory is from waiting there while waiting to go and report on Watford v Notts County at the beginning of last season, so it's a little hazy.

Watford won 3-1 though. Hameur Bouazza scored a penalty, which was the first commentary I managed on a goal from a match that involved two league clubs. Which is little help to the entry, I'm afraid.

Actually, I think it was just "You desire solitude."

I remember the equivalent in The Great Game of Britain was "Enticed to fish. Go to Grimsby."
