Personally I would get rid of the 'Background' heading, but let's see what others advise first

I'm happy to go with that. It's got the main "Bat and Trap" heading so I don't think it misses anything without the heading.

I don't really have any comments to make. I've never heard of this game before but it sounds fun and the entry is great. The only thing I was wondering about is maybe a brief explanation of how the game is played before you go into the equipment, because it's a little strange talking about the equipment before you have any idea what it's for.

I got a fairly good idea of how this is played, and since I've never even attempted to understand cricket, that's a good thing

Re the female players - are the leagues mixed, or do they play separately? I merely ask because in most sports, for some reason, they won't let the girls play in the same team

And do the corner poles have a bar over the top, or do you just have to gague if it's over or under when the ball is in the middle?

I put the equipment first because I wanted to get the picture of the trap in as quickly as possible. It's an odd piece of kit and trying to describe playing without first seeing the picture would probably confuse more than the way round it is at the moment.

I'll change it if the consensus is that it should be swapped, but I'll leave at as it is for now.

I think it's fine. A bat and a ball are easy enough to recognise, and if you don't know how the trap works, you don't understand the hitting the ball up bit.

I've added a bit about gender - see Team Formation.

Basically because it's a low-energy (and some would say low-skill) sport, *and* beer is involved, both sexes perform about as well (or as badly) as each other.

While I think of it, is there a way to get the image of the trap modified slightly? Things I've noticed are:

+ There should be a big round black circle on the flap at the front of it.

+ The perspective on the indents where you place the ball is a bit cranky.

+ There should also be a small dot where the rod the beam pivots on passes through the trap.

They're all small things I know, but if they could be tweaked it would be super...

Nice article. From what I can see the real difference between this and cricket is the absence of cucumber sandwiches.
