Weeeellllllll... Nothing wrong with a good party I would say
It actually started out as something related to global warming (see first post). But after the discussion about whether everest could shrink because of global warming was finished we got slightly of topic. Wich is something that happends in quite a lot of hootoo treads(for probably the best example see the "cancel" tread in ask h2g2). It happends...

Hi Diamonddragon, Nothing at all, other than perhaps the creation of more "hot air" That is if you imagine we are having a "conversation".

Why not indeed! Basically, I feel that there are more underlying tectonic forces at work in this part of the world which can account for Mount Everest's apparent loss in height above sea level rather than linking it purely to global warming.
