I thik that whatever we try to do to stop it will only slow it. Too many things contribute to global warming and it would be extremely hard to stop.

For everything there is that contributes to global wamring there is also something that contributes to global cooling.
It is a *very* complex issue which *noone* fully understands.
Try not to worry about it too much as the doom merchants are as likely to be wrong about it as the overly optimistic.
