Could probably do Liverpool University, although I left a decade ago so if a more recent student volunteers then that would be even better.

Great stuff - thanks, Sprout! I didn't go to Liverpool, but I'm going to post some random info to try and help!
It's got quite a long history - was founded in 1881 - and famous alumni include Jon Snow (Channel 4 newsreader), Steve Coppell (football player and manager), Chris Lowe (the moodier Pet Shop Boy) and the actress Patricia Routledge.
The university's website is at: http://www.liv.ac.uk
And the students' union website is at: http://www.liverpoolguild.org.uk/
What was it like studying there a decade ago?

OK - this is what I've done so far - now need to do the google thing for the history, include some links etc.
Any more recent alumni popped out of the woodwork?

Thanks Sprout - structure looking good!
I think the pan-northern institution was known as Victoria University.
What are the Entry requirements? What are the reputations of the different departments like?
