WEBBED TOES ARE AWFUL.
I GREW UP HATING THEM, IM OLDER STILL HATE THEM, AND WILL NEVER LIKE THEM....
I reccomend if anyone has a child to do it now and get it over with. Also I recently visited a LICENSED surgeon and podiatrist in NY (one of the best) and he said there are NO RISKS with this surgery. (UNLESS THE BONES ARE FUSED) I have my second and third toe on both feet, and I really don't like showing my feet at all. People I do show, think they are weird looking; I also think its ugly. I always wanted cute feet, and I am getting them seperated in about a week.
About the Surgery:
3 weeks off your feet,
Feet cannot be exposed to anything like dirt or anything, they might get infected.
I am a female and have always wanted to get them seperated. I love te beach, I love shoes, and I really don't liek the way feet look like this. I am so happy I am getting this procedure done. It is worth the three weeks being off my feet. I can finally get a pedicure in peace!!! Any more questions right back.

Hey sweetstuff980,
I also have 2 webbed toes on each foot. I was browsing the internet looking for anyone who has had their webbed toes seperated. I was wondering how the surgery went (if you had it done yet). If so, have you taken a peek at how they look yet? Is thier numbness or pain? And about how much did the surgery cost? I would be very greatful for any information. A couple doctors advised me against it due to nerves or something, but I've found a couple sites with people who claim to have had it and say they are fine. Thanks in advance.

I have webbed toes, they've never been a problem and I'm actually quite fond of them. Several people have asked me why I've never had them seperated, but really... risking the loss of sensation in one toe or another because of severed blood vessels? I'll keep em thanks. *G*

Dear sweetstuff980; I have webbed toes on my right foot and I hate them. I have always wanted to have them corrected. Did you have the surgery? Was it successful? Please respond.

I had a cousin that had the second through fifth toes and fingers webbed at birth, and they were cut shortly afterwards. the scarring 30 years later is still very noticable. If you only have small webbing on just a few toes, consider that the scars may be more disfiguring than the webbing was. I have the same webbing pattern as you, and no one even notices until I point them out. As a side note, the Buddha Sakyamuni had webbed toes and fingers, it is one of the auspicious signs of enlightenment. Perhaps you are specially marked.

You are right. Webbed toes are awful. Please tell me who your surgeon in New York is. Please tell me how your toes turned out. I can't find anyone in NJ or Phila. that will do this surgery. I was also told that it leaves ugly scars. How about yours. How do they look? I'd be forever grateful to hear from you.
