Hello,
here some corrections and annotations to your article:
- the Gänseliesel (not Gönseliesel) is in front of the OLD city hall at market square, not in front of the new.
- "taught" not "toght" (nobel prize winners)
- the university is very famous for its mathematic faculty and the mathematicians, the most famous is probably Carl Gauss, who studied, taught and died at this university (died at the "Sternwarte" observatory, and the street leading to it is so named "Gaussstraße", where the new city hall stands and I lived some years ago)
- there is a Webcam project at http://www.goecam.de where you can get various pictures of the city, perhaps worth a link.
- The Campus is named "Platz der Göttinger Sieben" after the seven professors you mentioned.
- Perhaps you find one or other useful notice (duck race, filling stations, castor) on my article A313156.
Best regards, Cooper
