This was a tough month to choosebut I guess that means the standard is really high

Where does it say where the deadline is? I've been looking but can't see it.

The deadline for Post article submissions is always mentioned on the FP of the current Post. Which means, it's Sunday, 18th midnight BST for the next issue.

Mu Beta would you please change your nick? That's if you don't want people to carry on voting for March.

So the 18th May is the next deadline for the Post.

But does it follow that that is also the deadline for EOTM.

EOTM is every month , The Post is every fortnight (I think). And fortnights don't divide neatly and equally into months.

Wouldn't the next EOTM be Winner for April and Start Voting for May , and we could not vote for May until May is over , so the deadline would be 1 June.

Mu Beta your nick still says "Entry of the Month, March 2008" - not everyone copies the correct A-number and posts it into the address bar

Obviously, BrownFurby, I won't be putting an EoTM in every single issue of the Post, only when it is appropriate.

Meanwhile, I might revive my recipe book.

As a suggestion - might be worth putting the deadline in the opening post of the voting thread and/or on the page with the list of nominations. Doesn't hurt to spell it out in triplicate!

Where are we up to now? Is it May voting this Thuesday?

I am puzzled why more people don't vote as all you have to do is look at 100 entries and pick one. Even if they are all terrible you can pick any old one. No one asks why you picked that one.

I suppose if we knew this we could sell the solution to Democratically Elected Governments and retire somewhere nice.

I haven't written the Entry yet, because there's still a day of May Front Page left.

I thought that the voting threads should say at the end which article was the winner.

I know people can count up and work it out for themselves but I still think it should say at the end. So I have done it myself.

I still think it is important to put a closing date for voting on the article and voting thread.

and Please can we have the title of the voting thread saying EotM May Voting and not just Vote Here (I know you can't change the current one).

What I do need to do is get a proper archive page together, so readers can see all the winners in one place. That will than be linked to from the Post archive page.

Has July voting been postponed for the summer.

When is August voting starting as I do not want to miss that one.

We are joining the Post on their summer break. July voting will happen in the next Post issue.
