A table is build up of rows and coloms, the coloms are equal inside one table, if you start a new table the coloms are divided again.

You can always reduce the number of coloms on one row, let it span over the coloms.

We have Table Rows TR and Table Delimiters TD, always open and /close them.
The width % are used to divide the space equal. They only have to be used once. They do not have to add up to 100, they just give the ratio!

Oh!
That might have saved me a lot of time. I tried to do spaces with HTML, but GuideML wouldn't accept them. I've only recently learned about tables, and I'm not very au fait with them.
So do you reckon there's a way (tables?) that I can put this poem on GetWriting where it belongs?

"The GetWriting works and advices can contain GuideML. The only problem is you have to do it right in one go. Any omitted closing tag gives an error.

There is a small difference to HooToo GuideML, you do not have to use to give a newline. Any newline you give in the text will be published as such. 
We had this effect as a bug in new entries on HooToo in October. "

"Just copy and paste the Tables from the first posting to an entry (or work) and try them out. Only thinking does not give you the confidence it is possible.
Perhps to start with an overview what the tables do it is wise to use
As the border shows the outline of the cells you have a better idea what is happening. That is I use some borders when I lose the overview 
."
