I've just moved my compost heap to the other side of the garden, as I want a space to plant more plants where hopefully they will do well. It's the first time I've touched it for a couple of years, so I was happy to see about about 12 inches of compost on the bottom of it.
I also found lots of new potatoes! They grew themselves from when I'd chucked some out because they'd started growing in the cupboard. I knew they were in there, as coely identified the plants for me last year when I was sratching my head wondering what was growing.
I've given an ice-cream tubful to my parents to pass on some to my brother as well. There's loads! They've grown among the worms, dead animals, ants nests and slugs and snails. They look yummy!

I've finally cooked some. I'll have them cold later with a salad. I'll let you know how they taste (minus the frogs legs and snails ).
