I'm not really here

What can I do with all my old flowerpots? I don't want to just put them in for recycling because there's nothing wrong with them a good wash wouldn't out right.

Any ideas? I've got so many that they are really beginning to get in the way.

Any local primary schools with a gardening project might be worth a try.

I'll ring round to see if any are interested, ta. Otherwise I'll be putting them in the front garden to see if they vanish!

Shame no-one has taken the old rabbit run I've got out there! It worked for the computer desk I abandoned, but someone actually knocked and asked for that.

Living opposite a shop has some good points - I get a lot of 'passing trade'. smiley - smiley

Hi, CD,

Looked at your PS but couldn't figure where you hang out! You could try registering with Freecycle on the Net.there's sure to be one near you.

Someone will jump at them and collect them, especially at this time of year. It is a Give and Receive site, strictly no money involved and you can get some brilliant bargains. All to stop stuff going to landfill.

Alternatively you could try a local gardening club or perhaps Age Concern/WI who must have loads of gardeners who would be happy to take them off your hands.

Still think the front garden or Freecycle would be the best options!!

Front garden is a popular choice - we often leave things out there with a little sign that reads "free to a good home!" and tey usually disappear within hours. Often people will knock on the door and ask permission to take, and we have some great chats with strangers, and make new friends in the village!

I am part of freecycle, but I know someone on there through work and it put me right off!

I will stick to the front garden - I often see people from the local primary school in my street, so if their school wants them I'm sure they'll inform them! I'll sort them out this weekend and let you know how it goes.

I'm from Essex. I did have that on my space, but when I revamped it, it got left off, so I'll add it again. smiley - ta
