I don't think I've heard that one. What's on it? I'm sure it's good.

It's a double live album from around the Love over Gold era. Phemonenal versions of 'Romeo and Juliet' and 'Tunnel of Love', plus loads more.

Highly recommended if you're a 'Straits fan!

Sounds good! Got a few songs on it that I don't know, but the ones I do know are great.

Telegraph Road and Private Investigations are the best of it imoho.
The rest is very good, but they stand out
Not wishing to cause a stir but the best "live" album I've ever heard has to be Seconds Out-Genesis And that's 'cause side four lifts it above anything else I've heard.
Alchemy is certainly one of my top ten favourite albums though

Not sure if I know Telegraph Road. But Private Investigations is a good one.

They are both from the Love Over Gold album.
Personaly speaking, it would be hard to have to choose between that album and Brothers In Arms as to which is best.

Love over Gold stomps over Brothers in Arms. No contest!!
Seconds Out - indeed a splendid live album. The whole second LP in fact (well, OK, so side 3 is basically Supper's Ready....) is superb.
While were doing classic live albums, let us consider Queen's phenomenally loud "Live Killers"....

I used to have Queens "Live Killers" album and a great album it is.
But when I last looked for it,it was gone

If you're buying the CD - make sure you get the remaster - the original CD transfer somehow lost all the energy of the recording (quite a feat really!)

Sounds like that advice was gleaned from experience. Good advice though. Have to remember that.

That advice applies to 'Live Killers' - I've not heard the remaster of Alchemy, and my original CD is just fine

Remasters probably are better anyway. Make the sound better quality.
Key: Complain about this post
