Hi,

There, I'm just passing through I read a thread that you was having problems with a netbook/notebook smiley - erm quite a small laptop?

smiley - sorry I'm no good at technology smiley - laugh I was going to go and buy one of them things to enable me on tinternet but after reading your post and what others have put I don't think I'll bother smiley - sadface seems to much hastle, also the price of the pay and go dongle with (3) its £99.99 for year erm 12GB =480hrs so thats like only 4hrs per day to use seems alittle expensive don't it? I'm just reading the *Argos* catalog! But probably with all dongles you can have WiFi probably the machines got WiFi built in? I was going to go with *o2* but hence I'm not working and I don't have that kind of money to splash out the bit of money I've saved think I'll treat myself to a HD ready 37" television instead.

I've seen them notebooks *mini laptops* so tiny no diskdrives got built in HDD some so small ie 160GB some the battery life so poor for the ammount of money they want for a matchbox, someone els on here uses one gosh whats her username if you go on my space scroll down to all the threads/posts one called "What do you want for xmas/christmas" she goes in there I was asking her alsorts of questions her username starts with letters (ani) so you might like to ask her some questions about it, how to work it in Mc Dees/hotspots.. Can I ask does it come with anti virus/firewalls? Are like everything els you have to buy smiley - grr

Your probably going to ask how do I get on here smiley - laugh well I don't have a PC/Broadband! I'm like just a very small handfull that get on here via a digibox and when it changes to BBC_iD I won't be moving over smiley - sadface I can't be doing with the hastle of the Library/tinternet cafe etc. I first joined way back in 2004 with a differant name long since gone, but I think when it changes over I'll just close the door as I can't even get on with my upto date mobile phone, well I can but try going onto someones personal space/Who's Online and my phone says "out of memory" how can this be all my pics/music files/videos etc stored on my micro SD card I don't get technology at all, I'm away at moment so I'm using my partners digibox lol.
Good luck with the mini laptop unless you've gone and swapped it for a 100 smiley - handbag's maybe a pair of these too smiley - handcuffssmiley - laugh.

Sho - employed again!

Hi! and welcome
Thanks for asking - I finally got everything working and I have to say it's fab. However I don't think a netbook is for everyone. For my smiley - chef for instance, his fingers are too big.

As for the mobile costs - well, so far I've only used it in the MacDonalds round the corner from my office and they give you an hour's free wireless connection per day. And I have to say it worked beautifully. And now I have my Wireless router set up (thanks to some help from h2g2 folks and the NetGear company) I can use the netbook all over the house. (speaking to my children via MSN...)

smiley - magic

Yes thank you! Everything is working nicely and I'm enjoying playing with my new toy. But a netbook isn't for everyone I would think
