Didn't you say you used to be in the Army? If so, you might find this thread as funny as I do http://www.arrse.co.uk/cpgn2/Forums/viewtopic/t=119114/postdays=0/postorder=asc/start=0.html

eek! 3rd Shock Army was one of "mine" way back then.
Thanks for the laugh - that thread is hilarious... and pretty much resembles my readiness too.
Although I also have my old WRAC boots too.

Battlestar Spoiler Alert ************************************
Adama takes the Galactica on an all or nothing rescue effort against the Cylons, trying to get Hera back. Superb battle scenes for about 15 minutes. They get Hera and return to Galctica's bridge, but the chief skin-job holds Hera hostage. The final five negotiate with him and agree to reveal the secrets of resurrection to the remaining Cylons if they just go away and leave humanity in peace. He agrees, but things go wrong and the baddie Cylons are all killed. Galactica is about to be blown to pieces and Thrace has just seconds to programme the FTL drive. She goes all mystic-cy and enters the numbers. Galactica jumps to ....... an Earth-like planet. The planet is populated by primitive humans who the colonists can breed with due to similar DNA.
Galactica is falling to pieces and no more jumps are possible. They all choose to setle on the planet whilst Anders guides the remaining ships of the fleet ino the sun. The Centurions are set free to find their own destiny with the base ship.
Lee Adama insists that the colonists be scattered over the planet. No cities, no technology. "We've let technology outstrip our spirit". Hera, Boomer and Helo settle on an African plain.
Adama takes Laura on a flight over the planet and she dies marvelling at the profusion of life. He buries her on a spot where he plans to build a log cabin.
Baltar and Six (and Thrace?) are actually "Angels".
Fast forward 150,000 years to a modern day city. Baltar and Six read at a news stand that the bones of "Mitrocrondial Eve" have been found discovered in Tanzania .. "together with her Cylon mother and her human father" they smile. As they walk through he city, Baltar asks if all the mistakes of materialism, technology and war are just going to be repeaed. Six says that if you repeat an experiment often enough, sometimes something different happens.
The End.
