h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I'd sent you an email last week, but as I'm never sure anything's been sent, I figured I'd drop a line here as well. I've been a bit quiet on h2g2 overall, mainly because I've been busy as hell at work- month end, mainly, which I know you understand. Anyway, I hope you're well and and the Gruesomes, too.

We're still enjoying the Who & W&G disc you sent. Just bought a Wallace & Gromit game for our Playstation 2. It's harder than you'd think.

Anyhoo, just wanted to say hi and send well wishes over your way.

I just had some minor medical stuff done and wound up paying for it, and we also had some fairly extensive car repairs, so we won't plan any vacations this year, but we hope to visit Germany and Sweden next year. What time of year would you think best? We would of course love to visit with you then (though we would never want to impose).

Everyone here is fine - we're looking forward to getting out into the garden tomorrow to do a bit of digging. Of course, if it rains we'll veg in front of the TV as usual.

turned 50 last saturday, I had to work in the morning (booo!) but in the afternoon we went for pizza and then since we were driving past the bowling centre, thought we'd find out if they had a lane free. They did and for the first time we went 10pin bowling. It was great, and since they do a cheaper family deal on Sundays we've decided to make it a regular thing.

Apart from that. Situation pretty much normal.

If you come over, I always think Europe looks best in late spring early summer. You are welcome any time you like - it's not an imposition. If you want to base yourselves here for a few days it's no problem.

Bowling! Haven't been in ages. We've got our own balls and stuff but never get around to it. What fun! Making it a regular thing should be a blast!

I'll make a note that late spring/ early summer is best. That's probably the most convenient time to get away so that's perfect. We'd love to base ourselves there, and appreciate that very much.

Hope it won't rain and you can get into the garden. It's warmed up here, but it's also coming down in sheets. Digging in the garden sounds so relaxing... when I was a kid, though, I hated it! What a chore it was back then.

I'm recovering OK; a bit sore, etc, but no signs of complications or anything. Not that I'm not milking it, though, and moaning just enough to get my water, tea, etc, handed to me. What's really funny is that I actually feel better when I'm up walking around.
