Haven't seen you around in a while, so I'm just going to pop by to make sure you've not worked yourself to death...

Yep - the usual stuff. Plus they introduced a new ERP system, effective 1st Jan - even though it doens't work properly.
It's Saturday, but because it's month-end, I was there for 4 or 5 hours today.

I have a project due in a few hours. Trying to finish it up now. But I've arrived at the giggling stage, very inconvenient

It's when I get to the "seeing ants in my peripheral vision stage" that I know everything is about to go up. I've had more all nighters than I care to remember - I've now stopped that as a way of life.
(just about to call The Boss to tell him I'm not coming - cross everything please that I don't get to the "stuff your job" stage")

Yes, it's probably not a good idea in the long run. But such is life.
I once worked for five days on 12 hours of sleep, total. Not doing *that* again. I had my desk under the stairs in that room, and kept seeing myself falling down them. In the end, I couldn't even take the exam - they shipped me off to the doctor instead. It was a lesson to me
Best of of course!

surprisingly it was fine
Probably partly because I had the best sales figures last month - and that I was there on Saturday, and that we had the huge fight about work/life balance just before christmas.
(she should be sick more often...)
