Sho - employed again! Posted Nov 10, 2007
no worries, it was a really stressful day
first I had to take #2 to MediaMarkt to get her money back on a duff product
then I had to run them to and from swimming
then we had to have a last 50 runs through of the 4 St Martin Lieder that she was playing in church
then we had to zoom to the wee church near her school for the St Martin Familie Gottesdienst so she could play her recorder
then instead of standing around drinking tea and eating Weckmänner, we had to zoom back to our village, tog ourselves up in warm kit and jump on the end of our St Martin procession (no bonfire, it got too wet )
then we had to rush back with our goodie bags for hot chocolate/coffee (depending on age) and a whole load of Weckmann and butter while watching Robin Hood
I need a lie down now
(but we did manage to fit in a nice macaroni/veggies in cheese sauce for lunch which was

*pops up here again*
Just in case you're interested - we've got a medieval event going on on the 26th and 27th, in Aachen - especially on the 27th, that's the public bit. The Karlsfest, don't know whether you've heard of it.
There will be knights, musicians, jugglers, and Klingons. http://www.alchemikus.de/fileadmin/images/2005/200501amarktsingen//P1000707.JPG
Dunno what else there will be, except sausages, but it might be fun anyway.

*drops in again*
Am I getting on your nerves yet?
I've just talked to my little sister (14 going on very teenager ) - she wants to come visit me during the school holidays. So I'll be finding fun things to do for young people anyway.
From what I've seen in the other thread, you might benefit from some time to yourself, or time for just you and So you're really quite welcome to set the Gruesomes in the train when she's here and let me pick them up, and they can stay over for a night or two (you saw, I have a good guest couch) and let me corrupt them for a bit
Or just have them join us on a day trip. If you don't want to, that's fine, after all, I'm just some weirdo from the internet
I won't bother you about it.
Wish I could do something real for you, like find you a new job You're always so concerned about everyone else despite really having enough on your plate yourself.

oh you are so cute! When is your sister coming up? I wouldn't mind coming and tagging along (as, despite my frequent posts to the contrary, I actually do like spending time with the Gruesomes!)

You coming along would be even better of course!
At the moment it looks like she'll be visiting from March 18th or 19th until the weekend, Saturday probably (the 22nd) when we'll both be going back here to my mum's for Easter.
You should be in school holidays at that time, too, but it would be during the week for you...
There's always summer, when she'll stay longer

Mind? I'd be happy! I'm still off Uni then, too
And my little sister likes the concept, too.
Now to look for ideas...

We could count penguins at the zoo...
Or have you ever been to Schloss Burg or Schloss Benrath? Both should be nice at that time of year.
Heheh, my sister is already saying "find a way to get them to spend the night!"
