A Conversation for At Home With Sho

Mol - on the new tablet

Off work sick and lurking in places I haven't lurked for ages, which includes your journal. So thought I would drop by to offer a smiley - hug and some sympathy. I too have stormed off from my family on previous occasions - one time I *literally* saw red and just had to get myself away from them all. And currently the time before I drop off to sleep at night is spent designing my own little home that I don't have to share with anybody else at all, ever, unless they are invited in and know how to behave properly.

November seems to have been a pretty bad month all round, really. Hope things are looking up a bit for you now.

Mol

oh hi!
smiley - tea I hope you're feeling better now?

Quite frankly 2006 seems to have been about the worst year of my life, and now smiley - chef has been "let go"* from 31. Dec, 2007 isn't looking any better.

Ho hum... I suppose we have to take the rough with the smooth, we're all healthy etc etc smiley - smiley

I like the idea of designing your own little home. I might try that!

Apparently now though, every time I leave the house the Gruesomes ask their dad if I'm coming back. I didn't mean to scare them that much. Oh well...

* now, apparently, the business is seasonal. When he was working 18 hours a day in the summer he "the hours would balance out in winter"

smiley - erm I don't think that's a very fair seasonal balance, somehow. What will he do?

1999 was my worst year ever, and it's been a slow climb upwards with lots of downward dips on the way. Knowing that it isn't going to last forever isn't a huge amount of comfort when you're in the middle of it, because it *feels* as though it's going to last forever.

But lots of supportive people around here smiley - smiley

oh yes, this is a great place for that. Only most of the time I feel bad because I just whinge and whinge in my journal (I don't have anyone here who I can whine to) and I feel bad for anyone subscribed to it!

Would you mind if I put you on my friends list, we seem to hav a lot in common smiley - tea poor us smiley - laugh

oh and I didn't answer about smiley - chef - he's looking for something else (as am I) which hopefully won't take too long. Up to then he'll have to sign on for unemployment. He's never been job hunting for too long before so I'm quite hopeful.

At least he won't be working over Christmas! The Gruesomes are really looking forward to being able to open their presents in the morning instead of waiting until he gets home.

smiley - tea It's bizarre how this place works, I think I first thought about 2 years ago "Sho seems a nice sort of person and somebody I could be friends with" - and then failed to do anything about it. We could have been sobbing on each other's shoulders for all that time. Ho hum. Anyway, yes, and I've added you to mine. I occasionally worry that my journal is mostly whingeing as well - and when not whingeing, gloating. But then I tell myself that in fact I am Sharing and Celebrating, which sounds much better smiley - biggrin.

If smiley - chef is around on Christmas day *and* gets a better job that's two positives to come out of it, but still a strain smiley - hug

h2g2 is indeed a strange thing...

and if I may whine a bit more... have I mentioned that he hasn't yet been paid for November, and when he said that if it wasn't on the account by Monday he wouldn't come to work until it was the boss lady told him he'd be in breach of contract... smiley - grr

Glad he's in a union!

On the up-side - I've recently been converted to the religion of eBay. And actually sold something. But I'll be writing a journal about that.

Right after I've had a cup of smiley - tea

smiley - hug
