Stephen

I read your list of favourite books; we argeen on lot of them!!

Pleased to meet a kindred soul!

I think Vanity Fair is the greatest novel ever written (in English anyway) and I love both Dickens and Elliot (I would have chosen Middlemarch and Bleak House but that's a small matter)

I also read Fathers and Sons - though only because I first read an Irish novel called "Reading Turgenev" first! - and enjoyed it a lot. Not on my soley list because we were only allowed 10!

And hey how did you do that neat trick with the name on your page?

Sho - employed again!

oh thanks, I'll zip over to your page and have a look...

have you been to the favourite books entry thing... oh, is that where you found me?

Who wrote the Reading Turgenev book? I only read it because it was one of my set works for Russian A-level... way way back when I was young and clever(ish) If you like him, have you tried what's his face... Flaubert? They're quite similar.

But my number one favourite is Ivanhoe. Give me anything with blokes and big swords.... hence Lord of the Rings too.

as for the name thing... you just use the tag in your page.

it should work...
