p.s. Do you know how come thesmiley - angelgot to be top of the Christmas tree?
There had been no snow during the entire month of December. The elves in the bicycle department had been on strike since October, and now there was the possibility that the elves in the doll department might join them.

Daily life at the North Pole was not pleasant, and Santa Claus was in a pretty foul mood. Mrs. Claus was suffering from arthritis and was very mad over the fact that her red velvet cake had fallen in the oven. Santa had tried to round up some extra helpers, but with no snow, they weren't able to make it by sleigh to the workshop.

Rudolph had a bad cold, and his nose wouldn't light up. Comet and Prancer were fighting over Vixen, who had just come into heat. Blitzen's right foreleg was still in a cast, and the vet said that they would have to wait until 24 December to decide if Blitzen would be able to pull the sleigh.

The electricity went off, and all the power tools came to a stop. There was nothing going right in Santa's workshops. The helpers were about three weeks behind in their work, and it didn't look that all the toys would be ready by Christmas Eve. Santa's foul mood was exacerbated by a bad case of hemorrhoids, and he wasn't too happy about the possibility of having to ride so far on Christmas Eve.

Seeing the terrible state of affairs at the North Pole chez Santa, the
angels took up an offering to buy a gift for the unhappy workers and the Clauses - something that would brighten their Christmas. They chose a Christmas tree, and they sent it down by ansmiley - angel.

Thesmiley - angelburst into the workshop room and asked,
"hey, smiley - santawhere do you want me to put this tree?"

Pinatas are Mexican, very "in" in the States. A huge papier maché container - often made in the shape of animals, or decorated with streamers - they're filled with sweets and little toys. It is hung over a branch of a tree or something, attached to a string that is controlled by an adult. Then the kids are blindfolded one by one, spun round a few times and they get 3 swings at it with a stick. when it breaks all hell is let loose!! So we made a big pink ball, which will be transformed into a pink cat's head by Saturday!

I've had a bad time this school holiday, Andrew tried to throttle me at my parents house last week.smiley - sadface
I'm now seriously considering sending him to a boarding school, because he's getting stronger & stronger and what on earth will I be facing when testosterone kicks in?
I've emailed the robert odgen school in Rotherham - that appears to be the closest to me.
I've also taken the phone number of North Hill in Frome, Somerset, as they had their full report on their site plus a questionaire from the parents.
I'm going to phone my social worker tomorrow and have a chat with her, then make an appt. with the Citizens Advice Bureau, to discuss my benefits situation - I live on the ICA & DLA I get as Andrew's carer, so if he's not going to be living here & I lose those benefits then I'll have to get a job.
I don't have a clue what to do - I last worked full-time for Barclays Bank in March 1978 when I was 7 months pregnant with Laura.
Anyway, first things first, find out what's best for Andrew.
It looks like this is going to be a year of change for us, I don't know where I'm going to end up but it won't be very far from my good friends on h2g2 smiley - smiley

Oh I didn't realise it was getting so bad...

Look, if you want to talk, you have my e-mail addy. Don't feel bad about sending him to boarding school, you have to do what's best for both of you. If something horrible and tragic did happen to you, he'd understand that too, and have to live with it in a home.

Is there something in particular that just sets him off?

I really have no experience of these things, but first things first, worry about a job after. And you'll still have him for holidays, so you'll at least be a part-time carer, right? The CAB are pretty good on things like this.

Good luck and keep your chin up, (((smiley - angel)))
