PASSWORD STRATEGIES
Princess Bride Posted Jun 5, 2000
I take something meaningful in my life and use variations on that point, like something i like or a personal joke, and change it up a bit every once in a while. So if i liked cars for instance (don't go trying cars- it won't work) i would use a password like &car#s or something like that.

Yes -- it's the only other "conversation" related to the SECRETS and PASSWORDS forum -- it's called Desperately Seeking Password Technique. Sorry I didn't make that clear ...

I too have been absent for a few days moving back home from Uni. So sorry i haven't been around. I'll go and tell Peta about it post haste. Past experience, by the way, amounts to one Guide entry co -written with a the unbelieveably nice person Buff ( the entry currently achieving approved entry status - I think (?) ) Clive
P.S Just to note I think a shocked smiley would be an excellent idea. )

Fecilitations for your soon-to-be approved Entry Status! Amongst the various aspects of h2g2 that I adore is the ease with which we have all been convinced that getting an approved Entry is an honour paralleled only by an honorary PhD from Harvard -- and the lovely thing is, we can ALL qualify!!
What, by the way, is the matter with your index finger (if this is an intrusive remark, please ignore it at once!)?
How do we petition for extending the range of smiley expressions? I wouldn't might, for instance, one that expresses a silly smirk; a raspberry; a fainting away. I keep forgetting the fishie. Here, take one: And another: . Happy Wednesday!

Hah! I KNEW there was going to be a howl of protest about "Harvard" ...*fiendish laughter fading into the distance* Now I can think of yet another smiley that we need -- the kind which has a big cheesy grin with all the teeth showing! Greebo should probably be consulted as a model ...

Are you not au fait with the current UK scandal of some northern lass who was turned down by Oxford (where she would have had to pay fees etc) and got a full scholarship to Harvard? I thought you choice of Harvard was thus a deliberate chortle at the British govt which seems to have its collective knickers in a twist on this.

I'm pretty much a-political but had to smirk at PMQ's yesterday when Blair (just back on return from paternity leave with the eliteism debate erupting while he's been away thanks to Gordon Brown amongst others.) whithered under this reproach from the opposition benches.
"I don't know how you've coped. A lot of noise, sleepless nights, a refusal to lay down and be quiet. And that's just the chancellor!"

No, my choice of Harvard was dictated by the chance of having received an e-message from a lawyer-friend whom I hadn't from for 26 years (!!!) who made a reference to Harvard ... nothing more political or otherwise than that! Are smileys still being made like this or does one now write out the word <Smiley> ... nope, the earlier thing still works ... BTW, Clive, did you notice that there IS a new smiley available for our use now? I'm going to try it out ... YESSSSSSS! And there it is. Now, the one I suggest is needed desperately is a CHEESY grin a la Greebo T Cat's famous grins. My suggestion for how to get there is :-E) -- in the lack of which, will have to do for the moment!
