Well in my opinion BASIC is technically superior to Assembly because you can imbed Assembly into BASIC when neccesary and otherwise keep your source to a minimum (thereby requireing less man power and fewer hours to create an equally equitable program, albiet .00002 milliseconds slower than your Assembly version). One problem with assembly is that it is typically BIOS and processor dependant, thereby requireing you to program for each system type it may run on. BASIC is usaully only OS dependant (DOS, or DOS compliant systems can run most properly written basic programs(if i remember correctly *NIX systems typically use c/c++ or PERL or a similar as thier base)). Anyways another post you'll probably begin to dislike me for. LOL.
