Entry: Band Aid 20 - A3371717
Author: AlexAshman - Do they know it's Christmas? - U566116
The single came out on Monday, and so I've written a guide entry to augment the original Band Aid entry which claims the story ended in 1989 with Band Aid II.

good idea!
Unfortunately there is probably with <./>copyright</.> as regards the lyrics. So you will have to remove them.
Sorry!

I'm not sure that this should go in as a separate entry. Would it not be better to add this information to the end of the original entry? That could be done in the Update Forum.
every christmas --> every Christmas

I'm sure we could do with a separate entry and link the two.
Although as we've been saying ever since we saw the final line-up, it's not Band Aid ithout Bananarama!
Can you take a look at your dates? The <./>writing-guidelines</.> should help you out with the formatting there.

Jimster, you'll probably have to do a quick bit of editing of the original when this one is published, in that case.

It's a well-written entry, Alex.
You mention the rap bit twice, once in the main text and once as a footnote. You only need one of these.
Put a space after the name Hawkins.
Convert any full dates to h2g2 format, for example 25 November, 2004.
the proceeds ... was used
-- that should be "were used".

Ok, thanks everyone.
I've sorted out all the things you've mentioned, but I'm wondering whether I should change the first subheader to avoid repetition...

Yes, you should change it to "Twenty Years On" and make it a header.

Glad you didn't mind taking out the lyrics - sorry about that.
I would suggest using a Header for Furthur Information as it is a seperate section from the previous paragraph.
I am a big fan of bulleted lists. If you used
text with link here
blah blah blah
etc...
</UL
Then it will space out the links bullet pointed more centrally on the page and finish off the article nicely

By the rules, it can't be picked until it's been in Peer Review a week.

It has been known - How to Build a Snowman went from PR to front page in a matter of days when the circumstances were right, although I can't remember how long it had been hanging around PR before that. It does depend on a scout recommending it at exactly the right time. Can't help you there myself, I only deal in typos.

Why not drop a note to the Scouts Yahoo group and see if a nice sloping person will be able to help you out?
(obviously you'd have to be a Scout to do this..)
