Intelligent social comment undoubtedly but, there is the unreality of the statement, "No-one had been in her bedroom before." Is that a confirmation of her virginity, and therefore, by todays social standards set by teenagers for teenagers, her chances of unpopularity by her peers? If so, I do applaud the story as it encompasses the pressures from friends that mean so much at a young age, even the end of a life..

not being to her bed room is not symbolic of ones virginity but it means one is a very private person keeping one"s privacy and breathing space safe the story is definitely unusual like saying a rose has thorns but thorns have roses too
