I have just discovered the books of this writer Adeline Yen Mah and am eagerly awaiting delivery of her latest book " A thousand pieces of gold " This is the history of China through it's proverbs.
Her past books are about her life in China over the past 50 years, good reading with a good insight into how the chinese language is made up from story pictures. I recommend these books to all.
I am now interested in finding out more about the development of China in the most recent times

Hey Royboy,
Not many members of h2g2 tend to post on the h2g2 tour page, as it's hardly the busiest area of the site. If you want to talk about books, I suggest you go and take a look at the h2g2 Bookworms' Club at A745544 as there'll be much more book-interested people hanging round there.
Alternatively, if you want to ask the community a question about the development of China then I suggest you ask it at <./>Askh2g2</.>. Ask h2g2 is one of the busiest areas of the site, and great for asking questions and generally making conversation
