I just snapped. I'd had a stressful day teaching bratty kids, and couldn't be bothered to deal with another one.

I'll say!
I can relate to dealing with bratty folks all day, these aren't "kids" per se, but they certainly act like them. It's enough to push anyone over the edge.
As is wasting an hour or more scrolling through page after page of monosyllabic banality in order to dredge up a posting or two worth reading.
I hope I'm not one of that kind of poster.

Well, you'd have to really, otherwise the whole conversation list on your PS would be nothing but THAT . . .

You're not going to the meet, Master B?
Noggin and I were planning to go but then financial constraints reared their pesky little heads awhile ago and we decided to put it off yet again.
Just as well because since then the friend we were going to be staying with had to go back to New York last month AND it occurred to us yesterday that since we were going to spend about a week in London (arriving last Wednesday) we would have been there when the bombs went off, though hopefully not taking public transport that early in the morning.

And I thought I was overreacting to Lordwolfden, or being cranky. Glad it's not just me!

Interestingly enough, the sadsack seems to have responded to each of your postings, Master B. And he doesn't seem to have caught on to your point at all. Surprise, surprise.
Too bad I have better things to do than read *all* of his responses. Where does the man find all that time??

If I had to type with a pencil, I'd make sure every damn word counted.

The good news is that the psychiatrist says I'm definately not mad ~ however he suspects I have a borderline personality dis-order.
Does this mean I have to resign ?
