Starman Jones Posted May 9, 2001
Why? (*dramatic music begins to play*) Long, long ago, as a young lad I was told a story about an epic battle between bad and worse. From the planet I came from, it was just a myth, a legend. I was told it wasn't true, but the way my mother told it made it seem all to real. In school, I did many studys on the one they call "Kudos". People feared his name so much, that I wasn't allowed to research him any more. They even took every book with his name and burnt it. It was as if he had done something to my planet that made them hide and take fear. No one would take about it, not even my parents. I grew older, when I was in my last stages of school, my proffesor(whom I think came from somewhere else) told me of a person who once collaborated with Kudos, named Evillene (*pionts at sea, who is holding her*). I knew no one had heard from Kudos for some time so I decided to go with the next best thing...(*Jones looks at Evillene with His inferred goggles*)

Now, Jonesey, there's something pretty basic about other people's characters that you need to know to make your stay on the H2G2 enjoyable for everyone involved. And that is that THEY do the coming up with their characters' history. Sure, it's okay if someone has someone else's characters say a snippet of dialogue (unless that someone else's character is MINE ), maybe react to a cookie that's been thrown at their head, but you don't come up with a story behind them. At least, you can, but don't make it public. And if that person's character reveals a past that contradicts the one you came up with, you forget the one you came up with. And if you don't like that, go to another Internet, where things like that are different.

i'd say that when kudos shows up and complains, THEN we can do something about it.
*evillene remains sullenly silent. sea would comment, but she remembers having been bossed about in another forum, and decides to make things difficult*

(*continuity*)Ummm...what? So what your saying is that I don't tell my "characters" history? Ok, then. But I'll remember it, don't worry!! (*continuity*)

what he's saying is that you shouldn't use another character in your history unless you have prior consent in the matter. however most of us are pretty easygoing on that point (YK's a bit of a pedant in the continuity department- at least when control of his characters is concerned) and i'd say that as long as kudos/corrupt doesn't complain about unauthorized use of his/her character, i wouldn't worry about it.

I've got it!
*Everyone stares at Minos*
I mean about Liz's initiation. Remember how Herecles had to perform twelve labors as punishment for his madness? Perhaps Liz performs her own twelve labors. I think that I've got the first one ready.
For the first labor, Liz must climb Mt. SandEverest. Once she reaches the top, she must get a signed statement from the guru stating that she did, in fact, make it to the top. Then, she needs to clamber back down the mountain, and on the way take one of the Crystal Light's from the cavern that Afgncaap5 discovered on the first expedition up, as proof of a thorough jaunt through the mountain. Now, for the real clincher, Liz must leave he super powers behind for the mission. She can take along friends (or even enemies), she can still retain somewhat above average strength, intelligence, and agility, and she can even take along a little fancy equipment, after it is approved. But no super powers, no magic, no telekinetic abilities, and definitely no one post solutions. You might want to warn your companions against those as well.
Now, if you accept this challenge, just pick up this Crystal Syphon.
*KL places a fairly large ruby on a pedestal*
As soon as you touch it, you will be drained of all of your abilities, so only pick it up if you accept.

I know, I know! Then we can make her watch the movie "Twevle Monkeys". The most piontless, confusing, waste of time ever put onto a 2 1/2 hour tape. If she dosen't go insane from the poor acting, then she will from the horribly confuseing plot, I guarantee it! (* looks around, everyone looks at him with blank stares*) You beings are no fun!(*holo-chair reappears, Jones sits down*)

Although, that does give me an interesting idea. Perhaps we could possibly lock her in, oh, I don't know, some kind of satelite. Then, we'll send her cheesey movies, the worst that we can find. She'll have to sit and watch them all, and we'll monitor her.....
*Massive groans from the various members of STUMPED familiar with MST3K*
Well, it wouldn't hurt for the second labor. Besides, Afgncaap5 has salvaged the Satelite of Love, and would probably be willing to help us out just this once.

[Liz quickly grabs the ruby, in acceptance of the first idea. ]
[Liz] If I take some enemies, you need to get a signed statement saying that my powers ARE gone.
