I really enjoyed that! I'm one of these irritating English types that likes to go around declaring how much I love Scotland having been there three whole times. I've been to Oban and Inverary and two years ago stayed at Balloch (not the most salubrious destination for a holiday, but never mind) and explored around Loch Lomond a fair bit. I am disproportionately proud of the fact that I climbed Ben Lomond, albeit very slowly.
If only all travel guides were written like this
I'm looking forward to next week's installment already.

Well, its more writing about proper travel really.
Oban and Inverary are lovely places (if wet)and I intend to take a whole week in that direction at some point. We actually stopped in Balloch on the way back down to Glasgow. I didn't mention it due to it involving my bad driving and some unpleasent wasps.
Next week we go to the Lake District and it dries out. Thanks for reading.
