...in the book, the Marriage of Cadmus and Harmony.
It seems a little different than the classic greek myths, maybe they've changed to be fit for children- this book seems to have a lot of mention of rape in it.
since the entry asked:
favorite god: apollo
favorite hero: perseus
favorite creature: hydra
And I bet there's a myth somewhere involving all 3 of those.
