Probably because very few people understand the Greek language.

I think anyone who speaks/and or comprehehends English really understands Greek (and Latin and German and Hindi and...).
Who, for example, has never used words like"charisma" ( homophonic to the Greek word), "nerve" ('neuron', nerve) or "poitics/policy" ('polis', the city-state); don't some people suffer from 'agora'- (assembly/market place) phobia ('phobos', fear)?
Such are the benefits of working with a truly mongrel language.
