A Conversation for Talking Point - Greek Mythology
Ganymede
nadia Started conversation Oct 15, 2004
He was a Trojan prince so beautiful that he was carried off by an eagle to be Zeus' cup bearer. The name has had a bit of a history, as a slang term for gay men, though it isn't in popular use at the moment. However, quite recently it was used as the name of the butlers' club (for gentlemen's gentlemen) in the TV show Jeeves and Worcester.
Ganymede is also the third moon of Jupiter.
