I think little details are important. at a meal the mood has to be right. Candles, soft lighting, backgroud music. It makes ur guests feel at ease. What do you think?

Yes, mood is affected by many factors. And the right mood is important for the occasion.
For a dinner with two dead people, formerly good friends, and both of whom have fully-realized their reckless tendencies in lifestyle, I'm not sure about the calming effects of candlelight and soft music.
I had originally proposed Ella Fitzgerald and some grumbly Beethoven. The lighting would be that of the outdoor environment I suggested which would be late afternoon, August somewhere off a country road, preferably at the top of a grassy hill.
