We have our parties on our little cruising sailboat, which can handle up to eight or so (friendly) people. The boat heels and bounces in the waves, so the food is finger style - grapes, chips with dips, sliced fruit, stuff like that. Oh, and beer. Its a little (OK a lot) tight for a band, so we play old cassettes buried in a drawer on the boat, with songs everybody forgot in the 70's ... the typical comment is "Wow, I haven't heard that one in a while". The special events include dolphins playing in the waves, and after dark the little whatevers that glow in the bow wave. 
For a special guest, I think I'd invite God, and waving up at the stars, ask her "Why so big?"
