I have been trying to delete a particular piece from my journal - and nothing happens! Why is it still there?

for some reason your message requesting deletion appeared on my space ... have no idea why ... but then i'm new here and am not sure why/how things work ... good luck in trying again

"You can not delete anything from a posting (or Journal) the best you can do is unsubscribe, then it is no longer on your conversations list, Journal 'entries' normally show on your Personal Page, you can hide them from there but they stay on the forum.
When you have clicked 'inform me of new conversations', new conversations appear on your 'My Postings' list I think that is why you see this conversation. "
