Erm... On a like, yet unrelated topic, how is this a bad thing? Most pop nowadays is targeted at pre-teens and under-sexed teenage boys. Take Hillary Duff, Lindsey Lohan, and the entire Disney Channel, for example. However, you don't really have to watch it nor do you have to listen to it... Its really a simple matter of changing the channel.

In fact there are lots of bands today that are artistically appealing, unlike Justin and Britney. Take for example Clem Snide and most other indie rock bands, say Dream Theater. And through P2P networks and MP3 players you can find any music that really suits you. Heck, they have satellite radios too, whole radio stations devoted to just 70s music or 90s alternative (my favorite genre). So really the market offers more than just pop...

Just saying there is more out there than the media standard, if you really want to look...
