The 1994, the United Nations and the international community turned it's back, once again, on Africa and 800,000 people were massacred as a sideshow to the bloody civil war in Rwanda.
Most of the victims were innocent women, children, and old men. Many of them were hacked to death by young men with machetes in their own homes or while seeking sanctuary in churches.
The UN prevaricated, dithered and let it all happen.
