As a teenager in the '90's I have very strong memories of the shellsuit - ugh!
The first shellsuit I remember seeing was on a boy called Jade who all the girls were in love with due to the fact that we lived in the North and he came from the South of England. From the day I saw him sporting his polyester delight I knew I had to have one. I seem to remember I was the last to get a suit and that I had to badger constantly to get it. I only wore it three times because it went out of fashion fairly quickly as well!
Thinking back I cannot believe how proud I was the day I finally got my hands on my pink and purple shellsuit, it cost £13.00 and, with my bright orange adidas trainers I thought I was 'it.'
