I hope you find an employer that actually deserves you soon.
I'm feeling quite annoyed about that, so I can hardly imagine how you feel.

I, meanwhile, have decided that I don't even have my together enough to find a job, let alone keep one, so I've currently broken off the job-search I'd initiated.
My mom was going to try to see when her new doctor could find time to see me, and ... that was pretty much the last I'd heard.

Oh noes, one of my favourite poetry sites emule seems to have ceased to exist! That's where I found the 'Abort, Retry, Ignore?' poem in the style of 'The Raven' *goes to look at the webarchive*

"I like my olives surrounded by very dry martini."
Dry martini, very dry, wet, dirty, heck they're all good
For turning 38, my lovely wife bought me not only a decent pair of walking boots, but a decent, solid cocktail shaker
I think I prefer very wet, dirty martinis.

*Thinking of many good uses to which a pair of walking boots and a cocktail shaker can be put*
As long as she's not saying 'get me drunk or take a hike'...

I like my Martinis dirty too. Some years ago, a colleague invited a bunch of us other colleagues to dinner at her place. Later in the evening, I began feeling rather sleepy, which our hostess noted.
'You're not drunk enough, that's the problem!' she exclaimed - I blame it on her being Polish
And then she mixed us the most wonderful Martini in a big pitcher and, by Bob, she was right! It perked me up like you woulnd't believe!

On second thought, she might actually have said 'You haven't had enough, that's the problem!'
I think I should look her up because, even if it was more than 20 years ago (really? *counts on her fingers and toes and finds it's true*) it's the best Martini I've ever tasted.
Any drink based on clear spirit and not too sweet stuff is fine, really.

Good Doctor Zomnker (This must be Tuesday," said GDZ to himself, sinking low over his Dr. Pepper, "I never could get the hang of Tuesdays.") Posted Sep 27, 2012
I don't think I've ever had a martini. Might have to rectify that.

For the uninitiated, 'dirty' to me means you add a touch of the liquid that the olive was - uh - residing in.

That is indeed correct, you spoon the olive in with a bit of the juice stuff from the jar rather than straining it or using fresh olives.

minichessemouse - Ahoy there me barnacle! Posted Sep 28, 2012
Only drink I've ever had with an olive in was a at the manchester meet, and I didn't even finish that. More a sweetish cider girl when I'm not full of mouseling.

Afternoon All
Bright and breezy over here.
I always thought the drier the Martini the less Noilly Pratt is used to dilute the gin. Haven't had a gin since my tummy troubles hmmm.
Went for check up yesterday expecting to be signed off as my GP had the results of the biopsies they took with the endoscope. But no, new Doc who insisted I should have the course of antibiotics eventhough there was no sign of H.pylori. Don't mind belt and braces but nay drink for a week. No bad thing I suppose.
