Matina, three Y's please...
*pours Loony, Phil and Mike a Y of champagne each*
OK, Mike, you'll get one to, since you just celebrated your 15th birthday...
I think it is growing a bit chilly outdoors nowadays, I see Lil moved Violet indoors...
It's good to be back.

Here, anyone want a U full of mild ale, à la Hoopoe?
*Drops his U*
oops. I´m so sorry.
It's good to be back.
Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Oct 10, 2000
*Matina, the household robot, manages to catch the U before it hits the floor, and returns it to Engländer*
Titania: Good evening, Engländer!
How come you call yourself that? *curious*
It reminds me of Ruotsalainen, a last name in Finnish, meaning 'Swede' - peculiar, isn't it?
It's good to be back.

I fear I have the most boring surname. White. Bah.
It's good to be back.
Tschörmen (german) -|-04.04.02 Posted Oct 10, 2000
THANKS; would be a pitty to loose the stuff.*Engländer pulls out a crate of his homebrew.*
that is aproximatly it. I am trying to get a grip of being English but living in Germany. I guess I would call myself German if this were a german site.
It's good to be back.
Tschörmen (german) -|-04.04.02 Posted Oct 10, 2000
Oh, I can think of a lot of worse things. I do so most of the time, so I can cope with anything bad coming up.
* Engländer just remembering the sound of Carcrash *?@µ*~#...
It's good to be back, except, I've been here all along

lt almost snowed yesterday. lt snaned, actually.
Yes. Snaned.
They use it on the weather reports, so l don't see what you're all looking at me like that for...
Brr. 'S cold. May l have a hot cocoa, Matina? With steamed milk and cinnamon, please?
It's good to be back, except, I've been here all along
Odradek (she who lurks, green Lifesaver-like) Posted Oct 11, 2000
Dumbass as it may be, you have to admire its descriptiveness...
Besides, l got sick being out in the snane and l'm strung out on cold medication, so be nice to me.
*adds a shot of Nyquil to her cocoa *

Snane, heh heh, what's wrong with sleet?
FLAP-FLAPP
Odradek (she who lurks, green Lifesaver-like) Posted Oct 11, 2000
*looks over*
Snane and sleet are completely different forms of precipitation.
Sleet is a frozen form of rain that comes down in an ice-pellet shape, like tiny hailstones, while snane is a combination of sleet, ordinary rain and snowflakes.
Freezing rain, meanwhile, is in a wholly different catagory, being rain that falls and then freezes to the ground on contact.
*looks smug and sips cocoa, feeling vaguely lnuit. ls that the language with over a hundred words for snow?*
Besides, "snaned" has the added advantage and fun of being one of those words that never sounds grammatically correct, even when it's used properly.
