We're plotting a mini meet somewhere in bettween London and Birmingham (ie somewhere I can easily get to) sometime soon.
Atendees so far
Me
Ben
Kelli (and her friend Lucy agreed to come at the winter meet)
Teuchter
Agapanthus - who couldn't make the London winter meet ()
Caerwynn,
Plan..
Meet up, somewhere, sometime, watch Kelli's moment of fame on TV, and enjoy some nicely aged and brand new gossip.
Time.
I'm thinking a Saturday in Febuary which of these dates can people make...
Saturday the 5th?
Saturday the 12th
Saturday the 19th
Saturday the 26th
Place?...
TBA - ideas people?
5th

Not the 12th, and not the end of the month.

Good Doctor Zomnker (This must be Tuesday," said GDZ to himself, sinking low over his Dr. Pepper, "I never could get the hang of Tuesdays.") Posted Jan 10, 2005
I would love to be there but, alas, I cannot make it physically. I will be there in spirit however.

Saturday the 5th? - ok at the mo
Saturday the 12th - no
Saturday the 19th - the day after my contract ends if I don't extend - ok at the mo
Saturday the 26th - ok
I am cool with having a small selection of folks (invite only) come round to mine to watch the video. I'm sure y'all appreciate that this is not a general purpose open invite to the whole of the internet, but a closed invite to my personal friends, some of whom happen to be here.
Also, I am not between Birmingham and London.

Well Kerr Avon is planning a meet in Burton on the 6th of March, which as far as I know is a general purpose meet, so why don't we try and get as many people as possible to that rather than setting up a rival meet?
(and sometime before that a few of us could pop around to Bens to watch a video etc.)

That sounds dangerously like a plan rather early in the thread!

It is Saturday 5th March, but you get the general idea.

Can I come?
Okay all weekends except the 26th.

Mrs Zen Posted Jan 10, 2005
Don't see why not. Do you want to come to the Burton one which is a fixed date, or the not-Burton one, which is very putative at the moment? Or both?

Well for the not-Burton meet I am already booked on the 5th Feb, not sure about the 12th, will have to check with my social secretary (J may actually come along too this time).
*wonders when I said I would do weddingy-organising things...*

If is B-on-T it might be difficult unless I can persuade Mrs. D to come as well...
The outward journey is fine. Three hours, change at Gloucester or Cheltenham depending on which one I get. No problems, just take a good book.
The return journey however takes twelve-and-a-half bloody hours and seems to go everywhere else in the country before FINALLY getting into Swindon. The only other option would be to stay until Sunday, but that'd hike the costs right up as I'd have to book accommodation.

Gutters? Nooooo... I was going to crash in a wheelie bin, and since wheelie bins are rented I figured I'd leave a small something by way of thanks.

I am unlikely to get to the Burton meet, but I would love to go the video viewing meet.

Well....
Z and I might, just might, possibly be driving back to either B'rum or Cheltenham depending on where we are parking out hats that night. Would either of those help?
