This bug has occurred before but I haven't seen it reported for a while. Perhaps you should do a bug report just in case it's something the technical team have caused to happen.

Oh - it's a bug? In the linen closet?
Would anyone happen to know if being unable to post a new journal would be a bug too?
I was on the page with all my journals: <./>F45492</.> and - being logged on as me - I see a 'New Conversation' link that I tried (twice) to use to post another journal. But as soon as I clicked on the 'Post Message' button I was returned to my list of journals, with no new journal added...
I tried the back button and tried again, back button, copy&paste, go to my page, used the 'Click here to add a journal' link, posted - and hey presto!
I wonder what happened to my two first attempts? Did they actually show up as conversations somewhere out there, just not linked to my journal?

I'd hazard that it's not a bug but an intermittent fault with the database. It differs from Witty's case because nothing happened when it went wrong whereas when Witty posted something happened - in an unexpected place.
