Let's put it on the wall with our paintings.

Sporky's picture gives me an idea. Why don't we go out into the garden and produce work in the style of Georgia O'Keeffe?

Well, now that I've fulfilled my community art obligations for the moment, I think that's a great idea. I shall paint in acrylics this time.

I may need to bath in swarfega afterwards but my weapon of choice today will be oil paint .

I won't paint flowers, though. I saw something at the edge of the wood I'd like to paint, some bones. O'Keeffe was big on bones.

I've got my eye on that clematis under the veranda that's bravely having a go at flowering for a third time this year .

All credit to the gardenerbot's titanium thumb! OK. Our bot helper will carry the stuff out and I'll meet you at the fountain for lunch.

May I borrow the bot so that I can be lifted up close to the flowers?

*leaves his easel and goes to wash the oil from his hands:*

*While the bot is helping Amy and Sporky is working his part of the garden, Lil has found the bones she was looking for and has walked along the crater's edge for a place to get the most sky. She stops along the way to rough in an unexpected view of Mt. Sandeverest that shows the coast road along which the posse should be coming any time soon*

*wrapping her brushes in a wet cloth until she can get back to the cottage and wash them properly, Lil packs her things, turns back and returns to the fountain*

Hi Sporky, glad you've joined us! Let's see... oh, how impressionistic! Beautiful. It reminds me of some of Renoir's work.


It was sort of breezy so my first panel was drying even as I worked on it, but I sprayed water on the second and it became rather wash-like.

sorry to crash your little painting study but I am a sucker for this sort of thing. Fall is coming... perhaps i'll go and do a few leaves

*sets up a new canvas on her easel on the palm of the bots hand* sketches the outline of the clematis flower and works on the background using a colour quite unlike that of the veranda wall*

*shows him the raccoon bones she found, a vertebra, part of the lower jaw, and some kind of arm bone*

I'm going to work some more with these, this evening, in pen and ink.

*wanders towards the painters from the direction of the Atelier*

I hear you've all been painting - I'll take a look if you don't mind - they're up on the walls inside aren't they?
I won't look over your shoulder at what you're painting - don't want to put you off!

I have no idea how I managed to overlook your post. I'll answer it tomorrow when I have more time and I'm not up to all six elbows in oil paint .

You've been very busy! I especially like the vertebra, Lil, and your dragonfly is very striking Amy! I'd join you but I'm not very good with a paintbrush....is there any left in the pot? I think I'll sit with you for a bit and enjoy the fresh air

You can do better than that, Candi, you can make us all a fresh pot of tea.

The convention has gradually come about that, if you need to say something out of context with what's haapening in a thread, you use the ooc brackets. Stands for 'out of continuity' -- you've probably noticed that the concept of continuity is greatly respected around these parts.



Are we ready to go in? There's leftover moussaka and I'm sure the bot can carry your work without smudging it. Don't forget to take a gps reading in case you need him to be in exactly the same spot again tomorrow!

*gives up on finding some colourful leaves (far too early) and decides to go in*

*tries to tidy up her stuff*
