When wandering round Camden markets last weekend, there were plenty of stalls selling jos sticks. Minds you there also were plenty of stalls selling various kinds of incence.

there are good bits and bad bits about camden. the bad bits are the dealers that you get at night...scary men
the good bits are the leather shops, and the market itself. aside from the new agers...

'that baby is the kid of some irresposnible hipppy parents. i feel sorry for it. its fture is one of being unwashed and mulitply pierced'

The market is interesting in the variety of things you can get.
I don't tend to go into camden for an evening out unless I'm specifically going to a gig which you then get the annoying thing of touts trying to buy and sell tickets if it's a name.

Yes, Lil, I am going to great pains to make sure that these files stay filed this time around. No way that I'm going to let them all just vanish again. 118 down, 118 down, 118 down,....

Amy, there is an alley like that in Dorking with a New Age shop. One of those places you can never find when you want it, but turn into inadvertently when you don't

It's terribly hard to avoid joss sticks these days; they've migrated out of what we used to call "head shops" and into a lot of mainline emporia. All the tourist places sell em in Ruidoso, in local flavours like pinon and juniper.
If they are cheaply made with lots of filler then they are acrid and awful. But if you can get quality joss sticks, they are as good as scented candles and more effective.
Don't blame the joss sticks, blame the twerps who think they are power accessories.

A little 'hair of the ', Gwen?
Montana Redhead and I live in a college town where incense is sold in every store and on many street corners. We also have a number of people who burn sage and sweetgrass in the manner of Native Americans, but I doubt they have the same spiritual significance.

Matina. She's the maid bot and a mean cook. She can provide just about anything that you ask for.
