I understand that the Russians have a box to tick (check) saying that there is no-one they would wish to vote for in their elections.

In Australia it is illegal not to vote.

I once met an Irishman who showed up at the polling station to be told that he had already voted and, while doing some work for an MP in the UK I took a phone call from a lady who wanted to know why her dog had been sent a voting card.

There must be room for a story there somewhere!

Why is Betsy trying to drive a tank over me? I saw something in a forum (Nag Hammadi?) about the kind of people who thrw rocks at tanks, and the kind of people who drive them.

But thanks for getting the name right, anyway.

Hey, what's the score about Al Gore's wife? Can't remember her name, but apparently if she gets a say in American politics then we're doomed!

Tipper Gore, scourge of questionable rock lyrics?

Nah, she's off that kick now. But the reputation follows her to the end of her days.

What, was this bitch trying to ban HM or something? Is she one of those scum that accuse Bloodhound Gang of inspiring the Columbine killers?

She was head of the committe that was responsible for warning stickers on albums, in the US. "Warning: Lyrics may not be suitable for children under 35" or some such.

I had a picture on my homepage that said:
Explicit content
F**K CENCORSHIP
Everyone ought to have one smiley - winkeye

I got one of those stykers on my Slayer album. The problem is that you can't hear what they're singing, and the booklet doesn't have the lyrics in it anyway *^_^*

Maybe you should write and ask Tipper for the lyrics, after all she must know what they said to have wanted to ban them.

Or was it another case of 'The Satanic Verses'?

Maybe they should stick warnings on their campaign manifestoes too - "Warning, contains policies that may make you the laughing stock of the world. Not suitable for voters born after the dark ages."

Well we still have a medieval mindset in this country, it would seem, in that most "voters" want somebody else to do all the heavy thinking and big decision making. Just don't cut off their supply of cheeseburgers.

Actually, you can get the lyrics off http://www.slaytanic.com

Voting...I sometimes laugh to myself, you hear all these people whinging about what Labour are doing to the country, and the only thing you can really say is "well you voted for them arsewipe!"
Yeah, there are so many people moaning, some of them had to vote left-wing hippy.
